I have been a peace campaigner since my teens. I am also a peace worker, writer and speaker, a Programme Associate with Conciliation Resources, Convenor of the Ammerdown Group and a member of the Society of Friends (Quakers).

I have many years of international experience in supporting groups of people who are working for change, especially those involved in or affected by social and political conflict, acting as a facilitator, trainer, mediator and consultant.

Now my overriding aim is to help promote a movement for change in the way people think about security, starting in the UK, in order to transform international relations policy so that it is no longer driven by the urge to dominate but by the will to cooperate for the common good.
